Press & Media Policy
Effective Date: 01/27/2026
Last Updated: 01/27/2026
Purpose of the Policy
The Chicago Private Capital Forum is a closed-door, LP-first dialogue designed to support candid, evidence-based discussion on governance, fiduciary responsibility, and long-term stewardship in private markets.
This Press & Media Policy exists to:
-
Protect the integrity of closed discussions
-
Provide clarity to media partners in advance
-
Ensure consistent application of the Chatham House Rule
-
Enable limited, controlled public communication without compromising trust in the room
Core Principles
-
LP-first: Institutional allocators’ ability to speak candidly takes precedence over publicity.
-
No pay-to-play: Participation, agenda design, and access are not influenced by sponsorship or commercial relationships.
-
Advisory-led: The program is shaped with guidance from an independent Advisory Committee.
-
Chatham House Rule enforced: Information may be used, but identities and affiliations may not be disclosed.
Media Access Overview
The Forum operates under a RED / AMBER / GREEN framework to distinguish levels of access and attribution.
RED — Closed, Off-Record
-
Access: Attendees, Speakers, Staff only
-
Media: No access
